In the second chapter of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling TWILIGHT series, the romance. 'New Moon' is also a less pretentious movie than its predecessor.
In the second chapter of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling Twilight series, the romance between mortal Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) grows more intense as ancient secrets threaten to destroy them. When Edward leaves in order to keep Bella safe, she tests fate in increasingly reckless ways in order to glimpse her love once more. But when she's saved from the brink by her friend, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), Bella will uncover mysteries of the supernatural world that will put her in more peril than ever before. I am aware that New Moon is no where near a cinematic masterpiece. It has a tendency to be so cheesy it makes me cringe and a lot of times embarrassingly bad and yet, I absolutely love this movie.
Of the saga movies this is by far my favorite. I love the soundtrack (!!!!) and the darker tone. My only gripe with this movie and the saga in general is the wigs! They have some of the worst wigs ever!!! For a movie franchise that makes soo much money how could they have not fit their actors with better wigs? To bring this back around: I love this movie!
After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella's blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward's sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black.
Danger in different forms awaits.
